I had an accident where Two witnesses told the cops that i was not at fault, that I swerved to avoid a car who had blown a stop sign. Anyways the cop wrote up his report and said it was my fault. I brought up that I had swerved to avoid another car and all he did was ask me why I didn't put on the brakes (noting that there were no skid marks on the road). I told him it was because I had no rear traction, i was fishtailing. If I hit my brakes I was DEFINATELY going to lose it big time. He used my lack of braking as proof I had caused an accident. Oh and the witnesses? He flat out said that there were none, even though I watched him write out a report from 2 witnesses, both of whom went up to me after and said they saw what happened. I wish I had gotten their phone numbers but I had some whiplash and was stupid enough to trust a cop.
